Desiderata, adapted.
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, be on good terms with all, but speak your truth always and clearly. Listen to others, even those you may disagree with or whom you find dull; they, too, have their story.
But avoid aggressive and manipulative persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.


The crash.
"Let go of the wheel!" I yell out as lights, tar, and white lines are all blurring together like a hectic rave party. I notice we are hurtling towards a bridge "brace yourselves! We're going over!"
